Privacy.
Quiver collects as little data as possible and never sells anything. The details below explain exactly what's collected, by whom, and how to have it removed.
Who runs Quiver
Quiver is a sole proprietorship based in Denmark, EU. We are the data controller for everything described on this page. Contact hello@quiver.audio for any privacy question.
What we collect ourselves
Newsletter address. If you sign up for the newsletter we store your email address only — no name, no behavioural tracking. The newsletter is hosted by Buttondown. You can unsubscribe from any email and the address is deleted from our list.
Support email. If you write to hello@quiver.audio, the contents of that thread are stored in our inbox so we can answer you. Threads are kept for as long as is useful and deleted on request.
No analytics on the website. We do not use cookies, fingerprinting, session recording, or behavioural analytics. The site sets no tracking cookies of any kind.
What our processors collect
Buying a plugin and using its license check involves three providers, each of which acts as a separate controller for the data they handle.
Lemon Squeezy (checkout, license keys, receipts)
Lemon Squeezy is our Merchant of Record. Every plugin — free or paid — flows through their checkout, where you enter your email so they can send you the download link, the license key, and the receipt. For paid plugins they also handle the card, billing address, and EU VAT compliance; we never see your card details. For free plugins (€0 checkout), no card or address is collected — only your email. Their privacy notice covers the rest.
Buttondown (newsletter)
Newsletter signups and delivery are handled by Buttondown. They store your email address and basic engagement data (opens, clicks) only for the purpose of delivering the newsletter you signed up for.
Hosting and fonts
The website is served as static files from a hosting provider that sees your IP address and user-agent in standard server logs. Fonts load from Google Fonts' CDN, which means Google sees the same request metadata whenever you visit any page that uses Hanken Grotesk.
What the plugin collects
The plugin itself runs entirely offline once installed. No usage telemetry, no DAW analytics, no per-session reporting. License keys are recorded in our backend so you can see your purchases in your account, but the plugin does not phone home to validate them. If that ever changes for paid plugins, we'll update this page first.
Crash reports are not collected automatically. If you choose to email us a report, you decide what's in it.
Your rights
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation, you can ask us to:
- tell you what data we hold about you (right of access);
- correct anything that's wrong (right of rectification);
- delete what we hold (right to erasure);
- export your data in a portable format (right to portability);
- object to or restrict how we use it.
Email hello@quiver.audio and we'll act on the request within 30 days. You can also lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet) if you're not satisfied.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we'll note it in the newsletter and update the "last updated" date below.
