the dice
Randomize, then edit.
Choose gentle, medium or wild. Lock the parts you want to keep.
Mutate
Make smaller changes to the current sound. Steps, grains, pitch, filter, crush and space can each be locked first.
Undo
Step back through the variation’s last three random sounds. Every setting it chose is visible in the interface and can be edited.

Moves on the beat.
Set four, eight or sixteen steps per bar. Repeat a fragment, play it backwards, change its speed or hold it in place. Join steps to make longer moves.

Sound and control
- Grains
- Adjust grain size, density, shape, scatter, backwards playback and stereo position.
- Pitch
- Pitch shifting, interval jumps, detuning and harmony voices.
- Filter and crush
- Filter individual grains and reduce their bit depth or sample rate.
- Space
- Feedback with tone control and a tuned resonator.
- Variations
- Keep four sounds and switch between them. Chain plays the saved variations in order, one bar each.
- Mix and band
- Process a selected frequency range and leave the rest dry. Mix and output level stay the same across variations.
