Designed around the gesture.
Every Quiver plugin starts from a real MPE controller. Osmose, Push 3, Seaboard, LinnStrument, Continuum. Not a spec sheet.
Software that moves with your touch.
Plugins designed MPE-first - for Osmose, Push 3, Seaboard,

MPE
Why MPE
MPE - MIDI Polyphonic Expression - turns every finger on your controller into its own voice. Pitch, pressure, timbre, motion: each note breathes independently. Played on hardware like the Osmose or Push 3, it feels less like programming sound and more like playing it.
Most plugins build a synth and then add MPE later. Quiver flipped that on its head. Design starts from the per-note gesture and works inward toward the engine. Every parameter is a FROM/TO pair, so a pressed key isn't a switch, it's a journey. The static patch and the gestural surface are one design, not two.
MPE starter synth
One pure tone, played by every gesture.
One oscillator with four waveforms, an asymmetric phase bend that turns clean shapes into growling ones, soft drive, ADSR, and a mono toggle. Per-note unison stacks one to eight detuned oscillators inside every key, panned across the stereo field, so a single keypress can be a whisper or a chorus.
Five MPE modulation rings route your fingers into drive, bend, attack speed, chord-spread detune, and a release-velocity lift flare. The smallest possible MPE synth. The easiest way to feel what your hands actually do to a sound.
MPE 808
An 808 you play with your hands.
A sine 808 designed MPE-first. Pressure shapes drive and decay. Slide opens the tone filter. Strike sets pitch chirp and punch. Lift fires a slam or thump articulation. An internal kick body ducks the main 808 so kick and bass glue out of the box.
Velocity gates the 808 tail: tap softly for a kick-only hit, lean for the full sub. Fourteen factory presets across trap, drill, garage, Latin trap and hyperpop.
MPE grand piano
A grand piano you actually play. Pressure, slide, key-bend, all the things a real piano won't let you do.
A deep stereo grand piano sample bank wrapped in per-voice MPE control. Pressure shapes felt damping. Slide opens room ambience. Per-key bend on Osmose lets each note in a chord speak independently in pitch.
The point isn't a new piano sound. It's the gestures a real piano can't give you. A swell after the hammer struck. A bend on one note in a chord. Room space that breathes under your hand. Built on the open Salamander V3 sample set, given away free in that spirit.
MPE sample slicer
Drop a sample. Carve it. Play it by hand.
Drop a vocal, a breakbeat, a field recording. Carve detects transients and lays one slice across each key. Pitch bends the slice. Pressure swells it. Sliding along the key surface scrubs the playhead inside the slice. The sample stays where you put it.
No sequencer, no step grid, no looping engine. Just the sample, the keys, and your MPE controller. Touch the waveform and play it by hand, made for the MPE era. Quiver's flagship.
MPE gated-reverb instrument
Hold a chord. Pulse the audio. Bloom it. Snap it. All from your fingers.
Each held MPE note triggers a gate at its own rate. C2 = 1/4, C3 = 1/8, C4 = 1/16, C5 = 1/32. Chromatic semitones between are polymeter ratios. Hold a chord and three rhythms layer on top of each other, pressure-weighted across the held voices into one mix.
A pre-gate reverb blooms when you lean in. The gate chops the wash into pattern. A post-gate smoothing reverb glues the pieces back together. The whole gated-reverb gesture, on a single keyboard, played by hand.
In progress
Plugins still taking shape. Free to use while they're in the Lab. 50% off if they ship. Free forever if they don't.
The Lab is Quiver's open R&D shelf. Forge and sweep are open-ended sketches that may or may not graduate to release. Activate any of them and you reserve 50% off if they ever ship.
If your feedback shapes one of them, a complimentary release license might land in your inbox. No point systems, no promises, just a thank-you for real contribution.
Behind Quiver
01
Every Quiver plugin starts from a real MPE controller. Osmose, Push 3, Seaboard, LinnStrument, Continuum. Not a spec sheet.
02
Engines designed from the gesture inward, not retrofitted from a knob-twisting world. FROM/TO architecture means every parameter has a journey from rest to your touch.
03
Every parameter you can play is visualised on the panel. Rings, curves, gradients fading between rest and your touch. The interface reads what you do, not what you set.
04
Every paid plugin comes with a 14-day free trial. Buy and it's yours. Every update free, forever, no v2 upgrade tax. No sales, no Black Friday calendars, ever.
